Beginning in 1991 as a small spice grinding operation in Nikaweratiya, our journey was built on passion, dedication, and the belief that quality speaks louder than anything else. Over the years, we expanded into noodle and bakery production, becoming a trusted name for households across the country.

Our Story

Founded in 1991 by W. M. Jayawardhana and his spouse, Jayawardhana Foods began as a small spice grinding operation supporting their family supermarket in Nikaweratiya, Sri Lanka. Its dedication to quality quickly built strong community trust, laying the foundation for future growth.

Over the years, the company expanded its product range to include noodles, rusk, bread crumbs, string hopper flour, and pasta—all developed with the same commitment to taste and quality. A significant turning point came in 2018 when the founders’ children, Kasun and Thaveesha Jayawardhana, joined the business and led its transformation into a large-scale manufacturing operation through modern technology and improved production efficiency.

Today, Jayawardhana Foods Pvt Ltd employs over 100 staff members and fosters a workplace built on teamwork and respect. In 2021, the company earned industry-standard quality certifications, reinforcing its rigorous quality control and dedication to excellence.

Rising from a humble local venture, Jayawardhana Foods has become a respected name in Sri Lanka’s manufacturing sector. Looking forward, the company aims to expand nationwide and introduce its high-quality Sri Lankan products to international markets, sharing local flavors with the world.
